NAD+

Coenzyme

Also referred to as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells that functions as an electron carrier in metabolic redox reactions and as a substrate for enzymes that regulate metabolism, DNA repair, and aging-related signalling pathways. It also serves as a co-substrate for ADP-ribosylation. It is not a peptide.

Research has examined NAD+ in the context of cellular metabolism, mitochondrial function, and age-related decline, spanning both preclinical models and human studies.
